US: Texas boutique hotel brand Hotel ZaZa is set to open a 160-room property as part of a 24-storey mixed-use tower in Austin.
The development, which is awaiting zoning approval, will mark Hotel ZaZa’s first location in Central Texas. The company was founded a decade ago in Dallas, and has a property in Houston‘s museum district.
Company founder Charlie Givens said: “Finally we have found the right location at the right time to expand the Hotel ZaZa in the Austin market. Our customer base has wanted ZaZa to establish an Austin property for years. We are very excited about entering the downtown Austin market with this exciting concept.”
The space would also include luxury apartments, to be developed by Gables Residential. Construction is expected to begin in mid-2013.
