UK: Iconic Luxury Hotels, a European collection part of L+R Hotels, has opened The Chelsea Townhouse in the former Draycott Hotel in London.
The hotel, located on the Cadogan Estate, has undergone a refurbishment since Cadogan acquired the property in November last year. Led by architects Gary Kellett, the 36-room Chelsea Townhouse joins sister property 11 Cadogan Gardens.
Set across three Victorian buildings, the rooms range in size including four apartments equipped with a kitchenette for longer stays. All rooms feature Harrison Spinks beds, Ruark radios, GHD hairdryers, and a minibar minibar stocked with locally sourced goods.
On the ground floor, a breakfast buffet will be served in the ‘dining salon’ – an informal social space for guests and residents. An all-day menu will also be on offer, while the Hans Bar & Grill at 11 Cadogan Gardens and other facilities including a gym are available for guests of Chelsea Townhouse.
“We are pleased to introduce The Chelsea Townhouse, our latest venture that follows the success of its two London sister properties 11 Cadogan Gardens, and The Mayfair Townhouse,” said Andrew Stembridge, executive director of Iconic Luxury Hotels.
“At Iconic Luxury Hotels, our hotels embody the spirit of the iconic address and neighbourhood they are located in. The Chelsea Townhouse is no different – it is the spirit of residential Chelsea, tucked behind one of the most exclusive shopping districts, Sloane Street. Guests will feel as if they are in a private townhouse of a very elegant friend, nestled away from the bustle of the city amongst lush gardens and towering treetops. In a time when larger internationally owned hotels are sweeping the city, we’re excited to bring to life a truly independent property with an authentic story to tell,” he added.
The Chelsea Townhouse, alongside 11 Cadogan Gardens and The Apartments at 20 Cadogan Gardens, will be collectively known as The Cadogan Gardens Collection.
