UK: Inhabit Queen’s Gardens, the second outpost from Inhabit Hotels, is scheduled to open in Bayswater, London early 2022.

Housed across mid-19th Century townhouses near Lancaster Gate, Inhabit Queen’s Gardens will feature 159 rooms, a restaurant and bar, lounge and library area, along with a subterranean wellness space.

Holland Harvey Architects, Caitlin Henderson Design and art curators Culture A have collaborated on the project. Work from more than 30 artists are featured throughout the hotel, including AnneMette Beck, Hugo Dalton, and Freya Bramble Carter.

Sustainable materials have been used where possible in the building’s transformation. For example Granby Rock, a custom-made terrazzo using marble from the original site, will form a centrepiece fireplace in the reception.

Regular workshops, lectures and events, curated by head of wellness Maria Tsiarta, will take place at the hotel. Daily activities include yoga, pilates and complimentary morning meditation classes. The gym comes equipped with Peloton bikes.

Two treatment rooms will also utilise products from GAIA, making Inhabit Queen’s Gardens the first hotel in London to offer treatments from the brand.

Marc Francis-Baum, the founder of Mare Street Market in Hackney and Moor & Mead at Montcalm East, has collaborated with Inhabit for the property’s F&B concept. A 70-cover restaurant will serve an all-day menu and the bar will serve English wine and UK spirits.

Inhabit is working towards B Corps certification. The group will join Exclusive Collection which has recently become the first hotel group in the UK to achieve such status.
