Italy: AMAPA will operate and manage the hotel, which will form part of the MGallery Hotel Collection within the Accor group when it relaunches in 2021.

Baia Delle Zagare Resort is a cliff-side resort in Apulia, overlooking the Faraglioni rocks in the Adriatic Sea.

Following the renovation works, the resort will offer 119 rooms as well as three restaurants, five bars, a hair salon, a boutique, and a variety of fitness facilities.

CBRE Hotels Italy advised the ownership of the resort on the selection of AMAPA as the hotel’s operator.

Francesco Calia, head of CBRE Hotels Italy, said: “The closing of this exciting deal is a positive signal for the hotel sector during these challenging times. Both Accor and the operator are fully committed to a grand opening for the 2021 summer season.”

Domenico Basanisi, director CBRE Hotels Italy, added: “Apulia’s demand has experienced exceptional growth since 2008, reaching over 9.2 million overnight stays and 2.9 million arrivals. The resort is in a unique location, situated on one of the 10 most beautiful beaches in the world (according to National Geographic) and will benefit from the great know-how of AMAPA and the brand power of MGallery. In addition, the reopening of the airport of Foggia will provide great accessibility and boost the arrivals in the north of Puglia and Gargano area.”
