UK: The Pop-Up Hotel concept blends the glamping experience with the luxury service of a boutique hotel, and eight suites will launch at Woolley Grange Hotel near Bath from 24 May 2021.
The Pop-Up Hotel, established in 2010 by founders Mark and Vicky Sorrill, provides accommodation at UK festivals including Glastonbury.
Each suite features one large master bedroom with a double bed, along with a second bedroom featuring two single beds. Both rooms have direct access to a private bathroom as well as a living area.
Other amenities include a lockable sliding door, a range of lighting and power points, and electric heaters will be provided in colder climates. An undercover private terrace with outdoor seating completes each suite.
Breakfast will be delivered directly to the suite each morning, along with flasks of tea and coffee. Alternatively, guests have the option of pre-booking a cooked breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant.
The Hideout, a pop-up cafe and bar, is open to residents of both the hotel and the clamping suites. It will feature a separate VIP area exclusively for clamping guests. Menus have been designed by the hotel’s new head chef Dean Westcar and will feature pizzas, soup, salads, tartlets and more. In the evening, food will differ each night ranging from BBQ to paella and curries.
A stay in one of the suites will include 90 minutes of complimentary childcare each day and full access to the hotel’s indoor and outdoor swimming pools, as well as the spa and treatment rooms. Activities such as yoga, flower crown making, treasure hunts and others will also be available to book.
Simon Maguire, managing director at Luxury Family Hotels, said: “We wanted to create a unique guest experience that gave new and returning guests an opportunity to immerse themselves in a stunning location without compromising on the quality of one of our hotel stays. We are delighted that The Pop-Up Hotel has brought our vision of the perfect family glamping experience to life and we can’t wait to welcome our first guests.”
He added: “After a year of not seeing family and friends, 2021 is going to be an important time for us to get together and enjoy a total change of scene and someone else to do the cooking! We’ve covered all the bases with this exciting new pop-up and have even added in a few planned surprises for our glamping guests to ensure we create a truly memorable experience for all the family. It’s going to be lots of fun!”
