Spain: The Madrid EDITION marks the second opening for the brand in Spain, following Barcelona in 2018.

Madrid EDITION is located within the city centre and close to attractions such as the Royal Theatre, Plaza Mayor and the Royal Palace. The building itself sits on Plaza de la Descalzas with views of a 16th-century royal monastery.

The hotel features 200 guest rooms and 23 suites, including connecting units and select rooms with private terraces.

On the fourth floor are two penthouses. Both are arranged as duplexes with views of architectural landmarks from the bedrooms on the upper floor. The lower floor comprises the living area as well as a butler’s kitchen. 

Two restaurants on property include Jerónimo and Oroya. The former is spearheaded by Enrique Olvera, owner of Pujol, and offers global cuisine and cocktails influenced by Mexico’s traditional culinary roots. The restaurant features  dark oak wall panels, a basalt stone fireplace, grey pony hair Jean-Michel Frank armchairs, and handwoven wool rugs inspired by Catalan artist Joan Miró.

Oroya, led by Diego Munoz, is situated on the fourth floor rooftop. It offers a tapas menu with family-style sharing plates. Also on the roof is a rooftop pool with 60 sun beds and 10 cabanas.

In the Lobby Bar, custom made pieces include Jean-Michel Frank sofas and armchairs, recycled bronze stools from Maison Intègre, rope-covered chairs by Christian Astuguevieille, and a pool table which designer Emmanuel Levet Stenne sculpted from a single slab of white Bianco Neve matte marble. 

Additional amenities include a series of flexible meeting and events spaces, such as a two-storey ballroom, three studios with dividing walls, a conference room and a breakout area.
