UK: The Twenty Two on Mayfair’s Grosvenor Square from Navid Mirtorabi is set to open in spring 2022 with 31 bedrooms and suites.
The project marks Mirtorabi’s first hotel venture. His current portfolio includes Humble (founder), Lunaz Design (co-founder), Little Emperors (investor), and other hospitality projects.
Interiors at The Twenty Two are being led by luxury designer Natalia Miyar. The hotel is housed within an Edwardian Manor and some original architecture features will remain, including double height ceilings.
An all-day public restaurant overseen by executive chef Alan Christie will serve British menus with influence from southern Europe. Four bars across the property will serve a range of spirits, cocktails and low-ABV alternatives.
Members of The Twenty Two as well as in-house hotel guests will be able to use the club with exclusive access to an all-day lounge space with bar and outdoor terrace. An evening dining room with a covered outdoor terrace, along with a cocktail bar, is also available members.
Managing director Darius Namdar, formerly of Corbyn & King, Chiltern Firehouse and Mark’s Club, will oversee The Twenty Two. He said: “Our vision is to instil a more playful side to Mayfair. We want everyone who passes through The Twenty Two to experience exceptional service, be greeted with a smile and, most importantly, feel welcome and accepted, whist enjoying the best hospitality London has to offer.”
Mirtorabi said: “We want to redefine the traditional Mayfair hotel and club by bringing a new community to this iconic part of the city. To create a space where people can come together and feel welcome, regardless of where they come from, what their profession is and what they choose to wear. London is a melting pot of creative people from all cultural backgrounds and we want to celebrate that at The Twenty Two.”
