Portugal: Mama Shelter will launch its first branded hotel on the Iberian Peninsula in Lisbon early January 2022.
Mama Lisboa is located in between Príncipe Real and the Marquis of Pombal Square. It features 130 bedrooms designed by the Mama Design Studio, spread over eight floors. Sustainable elements in each room include tabletops made from recycled bottle stoppers, smart TVs framed in cork, and lampshades made of Portuguese straw.
At the main restaurant, the menu will offer Portuguese classics and French specialities, whereas a pizzeria will serve Mama’s signature pizzas available for the first time to take away. The island bar will offer cocktails, juices and smoothies to consume indoors or outside on the patio.
Up on the rooftop, which is open from morning until late at night, there’s a kitchen, a bar, a DJ station, and several lounge areas.
Elsewhere on the property, the Mama Shop will offer beauty products, clothing, sex toys, candles, home fragrances and many other items. These can also be purchased online.
Next door to the hotel, an additional building will house a meeting space with capacity of 25 people. It comes equipped with a 50” screen and full service, including food, drinks and a bathroom.

Earlier this summer, Mama Shelter announced a series of openings before year end. Bahrain and Dubai are two locations set to launch.
