Spain: Ocean Drive Madrid, part of the OD Hotels brand, is set to open on 25 February 2022 in Plaza de Isabel II.
The 72-room hotel has been created by architectural studio Victor Rahola and interior designer Mayte Matutes. Sustainable technology that draws on bioclimatic measures has been implemented to achieve the maximum reduction in energy demand.
Rooms come with full-height windows, Bower & Wilkins speakers, and some will offer private balconies. A selection of rooms will come with a record player and vinyls, a photo printer and a beer tap.
F&B venues span the lobby bar and restaurant with a garden terrace, as well as the OD Sky Bar featuring a swimming pool.
For meetings and events, Ocean Drive Madrid will offer coworking space along with multipurpose rooms for private and corporate meetings.
A series of events, available to the public and guests, will take place on hotel premises. These include Burger Meets Gin (an afterwork event); Hello Sundays! (vinyl market and workshops); and Painting & Wine (courses with local artists).
OD Hotels has five properties in the portfolio: three in Ibiza, one in Mallorca and another in Barcelona. The Madrid opening and an upcoming site in Saint Tropez will take this number up to seven.
