US: A boutique hotel in Belfast city centre’s Bank Square have been given planning consent.
The city council gave the go ahead for the four-storey building, which will have 17 bedrooms and a ground floor restaurant. It will be located beside the Mourne Seafood Bar and Kelly’s Cellars.
The planning application was submitted by Belfast-based Cedarr Properties Ltd. Permission was also granted for a four-storey extension to the Holiday Inn Express on University Street. When completed, it will provide 60 new bedrooms.
“We are pleased to see Belfast’s tourism infrastructure being further boosted by these two developments as our city’s popularity as a visitor destination continues to grow” said councillor Peter Johnston, the chairman of the planning committee.
