Pride of Britain Hotels adds Grantley Hall to its collection

UK: Grantley Hall in North Yorkshire is the latest independently-owned hotel to join the UK’s 50-strong luxury hotel collection, Pride of Britain Hotels.

The 17th century Georgian mansion is located close to the Cathedral city of Ripon and the Yorkshire Dales.

The 47-bedroom property is replacing Farncombe Estate, which left the collection in June 2019.

General manager, Andrew McPherson, said: “This is an exciting time for Grantley Hall and we are delighted to have joined Pride of Britain Hotels and to be part of this prestigious collection of unique hotels.”

Grantley Hall comprises of a flagship restaurant, Shaun Rankin at Grantley Hall; bar and restaurant EightyEight; and Fletchers, a restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Norton Bar and Courtyard offers classic cocktails, whisky and spirits, as well as bistro-style food. Valeria is the hotel’s late-night champagne bar and opens Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights.

An 18-metre marble-lined indoor swimming pool can be found in the Three Graces Spa, as well as an indoor-to-outdoor hydrotherapy pool, sauna, steam room, and snow room.

Other hotel amenities include an ELITE luxury gym, which includes spinning, a Pilates and yoga studio, cryotherapy chamber, electro-muscular stimulation training, altitude training, underwater treadmill, and 3D body scanners.

Peter Hancock, chief executive at Pride of Britain Hotels, remarked: “Grantley Hall is an outstanding addition to Pride of Britain’s collection of fine independent hotels in the UK, and has quickly made a name for itself since opening last year thanks to huge investment in the property and a great team led by Andrew McPherson.”
