UK: The BoTree, opening in July 2023, will join its sister properties Middle Eight and The Guardsman in London and become a member of Preferred Hotels & Resorts’ Legend Collection.
The BoTree will feature 199 rooms with 29 suites, two restaurants with one providing rooftop views, a live music club, a screening room and a fitness centre.
Amsterdam-based designers Concrete have overseen the interiors of the Marylebone property. Each guest room comes with a reception space separated by sliding panels which lead to the bedrooms and lounge areas, and the suites offer a personal bar and cocktail station as well as a balcony.
The Presidential Suite, the largest of the room offerings, features a private elevator lobby, guests entrance and outdoor terrace, and it can also be combined with the adjoining suites.
Rishi Sachdev, managing director of Shiva Hotels, said: ‘The BoTree combines uncompromising standards with a purpose-driven approach to establish our own form of luxury. Conscious luxury. Our core values of truth, love and compassion will drive our business decisions in this new hotel.”
In June 2020, Shiva secured a £230 million development financing package from Cale Street Investments and Crosstree Real Estate Partners to fund the construction of The BoTree.
Former general manager of The Guardsman, Eva Mount, is now the pre-opening GM at The BoTree. She has been succeeded by Nicolas Monaglio at The Guardsman.
