UK: The five-star hotel in Manchester, The Lowry, has been accepted into membership of Preferred Hotels & Resorts’ L.V.X. Collection, which represents renowned properties with exceptional dining, entertainment and spas.
The Lowry Hotel Manchester is set close to the Spinningfields area of the city. It’s a popular venue for celebrities and high profile guests, and is known for it’s traditional Sunday lunches, themed afternoon teas, hosted wine dinners, and Elemis Spa treatments.
Last year, the hotel partnered with interior designers Goddard Littlefair to refurbish all the public areas including the restaurant, lobby and meeting spaces, and unveiled its newly built Junior Suites in January.
Adrian Ellis, general manager, commented: “We are delighted to be working with Preferred Hotels and Resorts who are the pre-eminent provider of representation services in the luxury market. Their global reach in sales, marketing and PR will be critical in getting us beyond the pandemic, and will help reposition the hotel on the global stage following significant investment into the asset over the last year.”
Brenda Collin, senior vice president for Europe at Preferred, said: “We are thrilled to bring The Lowry into our portfolio of member hotels, in the UK and Europe, bringing strategic advantage through key services such as sales, integrated marketing solutions and comprehensive revenue e-management. We look forward to a pro-active partnership that demonstrates significant value for the hotel and the owner. Manchester is such a vibrant city and will continue to be an interesting destination for international markets post-Covid.”
Preferred Hotels & Resorts supports its members by providing strategic group, corporate and leisure sales, integrated marketing solutions, revenue management, global connectivity through reservations and distribution technology.
The group has five collections: Legend, L.V.X., Lifestyle, Connect, and Preferred Residences, with all properties required to maintain the high quality standards of its Integrated Quality Assurance Programme.
