US: International luxury hotel group Warwick Hotels and Resorts has acquired the Hotel Le Crystal in downtown Montreal.

Moving forwards, the hotel will be known as Warwick Le Crystal-Montreal and is set to welcome guests from May this year. 

The property features 131 rooms and suites, most of which come with kitchenettes. Amenities include an Asian restaurant called Siam, an indoor swimming pool, a fitness centre and spa, and a number of meeting rooms. 

Richard Chiu, president and founder of Warwick Hotels and Resorts (WHR), said: “Our group is delighted with this acquisition, which is an excellent addition to our portfolio. Hotel Le Crystal shares many attributes of other Warwick hotels.”

Warwick Le Crystal-Montreal will join properties in Paris, New York, London, Geneva, Dallas, Chicago and San Francisco.

The Warwick Hotels and Resorts portfolio includes more than 40 hotels, resorts and spas worldwide. At least half of the properties are wholly owned and operated by WHR.
