Worldwide: Lifestyle brand ELLE has launched ELLE Hospitality, with two upcoming properties in France and Mexico.

Maison ELLE will feature a collection of boutique hotels located in city centres globally. The first property is slated to open this autumn in Paris, in the 17th district near the Arc de Triomphe.

Comprising 25 bedrooms, suites and a spa, the hotel will be owned and operated by Studio V under the guidance of hotelier Pascal Donat, president of the French hospitality group Valotel.

Donat said: “Beyond the hotels themselves, our guests look for meaning and a sense of belonging. That’s why today, bringing to life a brand’s emotional connection with the consumer, through hospitality experiences and design, is central to our approach.”

The ELLE Hotel portfolio will include high-end properties with a retreat-style focus away from urban centres. The collection will debut next summer in Jalisco, Mexico, in partnership with real estate developer ACTUR, and will focus on environmental protection and sustainability.

Ricardo Santa Cruz, the project’s CEO, said: “Everyone involved in the project is part of a family that is committed to the same goals. We all have a social responsibility to improve the quality of life of our neighbouring communities and to safeguard the environmental preservation of the land in which we are living.”

Whitney Robinson, founder of Whitney Robinson International, will collaborate with ELLE Hospitality on the group’s Middle Eastern projects. The firm partners with names in architecture, art, interior design and fashion.

Robinson said: “I have always had a deep appreciation and admiration for the iconic ELLE brand, and was honoured to be the editor-in-hief of ELLE DÉCOR USA. Over the past two decades, I have been fortunate to work with the most coveted names in design, architecture, hospitality, and fashion, and am delighted to participate in this new adventure.”

Constance Benqué, chairman of ELLE International and CEO of Lagardère News, said: “We are thrilled to launch into the world of hospitality. Our brand’s success to date has been thanks to our innovation, our special relationship with women and we are proud to continue to challenge the status quo, as we enter a new era of travel.

“Our two concepts, starting with the openings of Maison ELLE in Paris and ELLE Hotel in Mexico will present exciting gateways that will allow guests to see the destinations through a new lens and through the brand’s vision.”
