SEA: InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) will open Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok and Kimpton Shinjuko Tokyo on 1 and 2 October 2020 respectively.

Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok is the first hotel in South East Asia for the brand. Located in the Thai capital’s city centre, the hotel will feature 362 rooms including 131 serviced residences and a variety of F&B outlets.

The Celebrity Suite comes with one king bed and two double beds, a fully stocked bar, Nespresso coffee machine, bespoke bathroom amenities and a private balcony.

Other amenities at the hotel include a rooftop infinity pool and spa by HARNN, which will offer healing therapies that combine Oriental wisdom and modern cosmetic techniques.

Six studio rooms and one boardroom is available for private meetings and events.

Kimpton Shinjuku Tokyo will offer 151 guest rooms, two F&B outlets, three meeting and event spaces, a health and fitness centre, as well as a chapel for weddings that doubles as a gallery for exhibitions.

The hotel is said to be inspired by New York’s art and fashion scene, blending artisanal Japanese woodwork and contemporary elements.
