Liverpool’s Queen Building to become Tune hotel

UK: Developer Hotel Land Development and property owner Bruntwood are to convert the Queen Building in Liverpool’s Castle Street in to a hotel.

The hotel will feature a new ground-floor entrance onto the street, which is home to the Town Hall and the Queen Elizabeth Law Courts.

The exterior of the listed building will remain largely unchanged, but the interior will undergo extensive remodelling. The property will be managed by Malaysian operator Tune Hotels.

Liverpool‘s business district has seen a spate of hotel development activity recently. Hotels have opened or are in the pipeline in Tithebarn Street, Dale Street and North John Street as well as the Titanic-themed hotel at the former White Star line HQ on the corner of The Strand and James Street.
