US: Nobu Hospitality Group is in advanced talks to develop a hotel on Chicago’s Randolph Street.
The property which would include q Nobu restaurant, and will be built on a 12,000 square foot site at 846-854 W. Randolph St. owned by a venture of Chicago developer Mark Hunt.
Nobu CEO Trevor Horwell said: “We have an intent to move forward on the site, but we still have to go through a lot of hoops. That particular location is a location we want to be in. We think it’s a much stronger area than anywhere else in Chicago. It’s an up-and-coming area where the restaurants are doing extremely well. It’s a young brand that we think would be right for that area.”
The news comes a month after Nobu opened its first hotel, a 181-room property in Las Vegas.
