Worldwide: Independent hotel brand Preferred Hotels & Resorts has added 30 properties to its global portfolio between 1 April and 30 June 2024.
The new properties range from an adults-only all-inclusive resort to a preserved historic villa, spanning regions such as South Africa, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, and the Dominican Republic.
Additions include:
• Boutique Hotel Stresa (Stresa, Italy) – L.V.X Collection: Located in a town known as the Pearl of Lake Maggiore, the hotel offers 30 rooms (26 suites and four private spa suites) and amenities including a rooftop bar and a solarium with an infinity pool.
• Casa Velas Puerto Vallarta (Puerto Vallarta, Mexico) – Lifestyle Collection: An 80-suite, adults-only boutique resort on Mexico’s Pacific Riviera. It offers immersion pools, jacuzzi hot tubs, an 18-hole golf course, two restaurants, a swim-up bar, and activities including yoga lessons, guided meditation, tea workshops, live music, tequila tastings, and dining events.
• FORTH Hotel & Club (Atlanta, Georgia) – L.V.X Collection: Recently opened in June 2024, the FORTH Hotel & Club features 196 guest rooms and suites with 39 apartment-style rooms, four F&B venues, an outdoor pool and deck, fitness centre, and a members-only social club with an exclusive restaurant, bar and lounge.
• The RuMa Hotel & Residences (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) – Lifestyle Collection: Located in Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Triangle, the property features 253 luxury guest rooms and suites. Amenities include the European bistro ATAS, the SEVEN Lobby Bar, The LIBRARI for afternoon tea and light meals, and the SANTAI Pool Bar and Lounge. The sixth floor wellness area hosts the UR SPA, an 82-foot outdoor pool, gym, and barber shop.

Alongside expanding the group’s Lifestyle and L.V.X Collection, Preferred has also added a number of properties to its Legend Collection. Some of these include Kasbah Tamadot (Asni, Morocco), Son Bunyola (Mallorca, Spain), Ulusaba (Sabi Sands, South Africa) and more.
Recently, Preferred surpassed 100 members in its Legend brand portfolio.
