UK: The St Martins Lane Hotel in London, part of Morgans Hotel Group, has teamed up with design collective Luna & Curious to launch “Semi-Automatic”.
Semi-Automatic is described as “a unique retail concept first pioneered by Morgans Hotel Group in Mondrian South Beach, Miami.” It is “a luxe take on the vending machine concept, and a play on the traditional hotel gift store”, located in the lobby at St Martins Lane.
The touch operated-screen allows guests the chance to purchase items such as welovekarou’s Basilica Mugs (£26.50), customised time pieces from Mr Jones Watches (£175.00), Momocreatura’s signature Handcuffed Bear Necklace (£323.00) and Polly George’s bone china “cresshead” (£29.00).
