France: The hotel management company owned by the operators of Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH), has been appointed to operate Hotel Square in Paris.
The 22-bedroom contemporary boutique hotel, situated in Paris’ 16th arrondissement, is owned by restaurateur Patrick Derderian, whose Zebra Square restaurant shares part of the hotel. Its architectural features include a central atrium with a four-story exhibition wall, visible from every floor, where regularly changing displays of works by cutting edge artists are presented.
Â
Luxury Hotel Partners has been appointed to manage Hotel Square after an initial consultancy period. Brian Mills, managing director of Luxury Hotel Partners, said: “In the current economic climate all hotel operators are measured by results and we are pleased to win another hotel contract on the basis of our performance. We reviewed room rates and packages to optimise the potential to get a better average spend and higher occupancy.”
Â
Owner Patrick Derderian said: “I signed a support contract from April to September 2012 as a test to promote our property. Due to the very impressive results that we never achieved in the past – 90 per cent occupancy in June and 88 per cent in July, and RevPAR matching the Parisian market, I have just signed a full management contract beginning October 1, 2012.”

Luxury Hotel Partners manages 30 boutique hotels in 12 countries for owners ranging from individual entrepreneurs to property companies and private estates.
