UK: Business property advisor Christie & Co has reduced the asking price of The Valley Hotel, located near Holyhead in the Isle of Anglesey, to £795,000.

The family-run, privately-owned hotel offers 19 bedrooms including single, double/twin, and family rooms, flexible meeting and event space which can cater up to 120 guests, an indoor/outdoor bar with children’s play park, as well as a dining area. The property is also fully licensed to hold wedding ceremonies on site.

At full capacity, The Valley can seat over 175 people.

Anglesey Inns has owned and operated the hotel for 30 years, having acquired the site from Burtonwood Brewery in 1993. The hotel is originally a coaching inn and dates back to the 1800s.

Paul Snape, director of Anglesey Inns, said: “We understand that the hospitality market is tough, however this is a genuine retirement sale, after many years of hard work and dedication. The time is ripe now for new owners to bring new skills, energy and enthusiasm to the  party.”

Tom O’Malley, associate director – hotels at Christie & Co, and who is handling the sale, said: “At the reduced asking price, The Valley represents a unique and fantastic opportunity to take a business with a decent reputation and level of turnover, and to really maximise its true worth.”
