UK: Theobalds Estate, the first UK hotel to join IHG’s Noted Collection, has launched the first phased of its wellness centre featuring a gym, reformer pilates and spin studios.
Located in Hertfortshire, Theobalds Estate is now accepting membership enquiries following the launch of its gym, pilates and spin studios.
Phase two will follow later this year with the addition of a spa garden featuring a sauna, ice plunges, hydrotherapy pools and relaxation spaces. A longevity cabin will also provide a hyperbaric oxygen chamber (HBOT), red‑light therapy beds and lymphatic drainage treatments.
Additional outdoor developments include three covered padel courts and a fitness space for group exercise classes.
When complete, Theobalds will offer wellness-focused retreats featuring health assessments including blood work and biomarker analysis.
Suki Dulai, group CEO of Surya Hotels, owner of Theobalds Estate, said: “Our ambition is clear: to create the UK’s number one longevity and wellness destination. Our wellness centre is all about providing a highly personalised approach to health optimisation and healthy ageing. We are bringing together fitness, nutrition, recovery and advanced therapies, all within beautiful grounds, in a way that is rarely seen in the UK today. This is our first step towards that vision and we are delighted to welcome our first founding members.”
The wellness centre is part of a wider, multimillion-pound redevelopment of the estate. The full site is set to feature 60 bedrooms, three restaurants, a bar and extensive meeting and event facilities.
Formerly Birch Cheshunt, Theobalds Estate was acquired by Surya Hotels in 2025, kickstarting the site’s £25 million repositioning.
