US: Wristwatch and bicycle brand Shinola has teamed up with developer Bedrock to open a hotel in Detroit.
The Shinola Hotel will feature more than 130 rooms with “Detroit-inspired design”. Bedrock owner Dan Gilbert founded Detroit-based Quicken Loans and owns the Cleveland Cavaliers basketball team.
The property, at 1400 Woodward Avenue in downtown Detroit,is set to open in the fall of 2018.
Detroit-based Kraemer Design Group has been appointed as architect for the project, with New York-based NoHo Hospitality Group to operate the food and beverage program.
