Italy: Luxury Italian hotel company Baglioni Hotels & Resorts has revealed it will take over management of the former Paradiso al Mare in Forte dei Marmi, Tuscany.

Baglioni will transform the three-star Paradiso al Mare into a five-star Baglioni hotel, set to open its doors in 2026. Work is expected to begin in January 2024.

The hotel will offer 58 rooms and suites, a rooftop bar, gym and swimming pool, and a spa.

It marks the ninth Baglioni hotel in the portfolio and the first in Tuscany.

Guido Polito, CEO of Baglioni Hotels & Resorts, said: “We are thrilled to expand our portfolio with this exciting acquisition in Forte dei Marmi,. This remarkable property presents a unique opportunity for us to create a world-class hotel that will redefine luxury hospitality in the area. With its unparalleled location, stunning sea views, and exceptional facilities, we are confident that the future Baglioni Hotel in Forte dei Marmi will captivate guests from around the world.”

The Baglioni portfolio comprises five hotels – four in the Italian cities of Florence, Venice, Milan and Rome, and one in the centre of London’s Kensington district – plus three resorts located in Otranto, Puglia, in the Maldives on the isle of Maagau, and in Sardinia.
