US: A Canopy by Hilton hotel is being proposed for 612 West Sixth Street in Austin, Texas.
According to permits filed with the city of Austin the project, designed by Urban Design Group, an Austin-based engineering and design company that is also designing the city’s New Central Library and the Independent downtown condominiums, will feature a grand floor restaurant.
The property is valued at $2.9 million, according to the Travis Central Appraisal District.
Permits were filed last June for a commercial multifamily project on the same lot, called the West Sixth Micro Project. These permits are listed as expired on the city of Austin website.
The first Canopy property opened in Reykjavik last year.
