US: Salt Hotels in partnership with B Group Capital has opened the adults-only Hotel Greystone in the Collins Park neighbourhood of Miami Beach.

The hotel comprises 91 rooms and suites, including a number of penthouse suites, along with a main restaurant and bar, courtyard cafe, and rooftop pool.

Originally built in 1939 by architect Henry Hohauser, Holly Muhl of Bowenholly has led the interior design. She said: “Our goal was to create something stylish and comfortable that evokes the dynamic layers of Miami Beach. The building offers so many opportunities for a sophisticated audience depending on your mood and we wanted every space to give guests an welcome and authentic sense of place.”

Sérêvène, the property’s signature restaurant, is led by executive chef Pawan Pinisetti. The menu will blend Japanese ingredients with French techniques. Adjacent to Sérêvène, The Greystone Bar will serve creative and classic cocktails.

A shaded courtyard houses the cafe Kobo, which offers outdoor lounge seating and displays public art. Up on the roof, a poolside bar will serve cocktails and light bites.

“The vibe, energy and eclectic mix of people in Miami create one of the most interesting and dynamic centres in America,” said David Bowd, co-founder and CEO at Salt Hotels. “The Greystone is a historic landmark off Collins Park, within steps of the beach and a true boutique hotel amongst much larger and imposing buildings. Inside the energy will be as vibrant as the community with nightly programming, amazing cuisine and inventive beverages – with the facilities of a large resort but the intimate service and attention to detail of a small boutique.”

Salt Hotels provides services in hotel management, design and development, creative services, sales and marketing, revenue management, F&B development and management, and human resources. A recent project by the group includes Hutton Brickyards in Kingston, New York.
