China: The five-star Karl Lagerfeld Macau hotel is slated to open in June this year, designed entirely by the late Karl Lagerfeld.

Owned by SJM Resorts S.A., The Karl Lagerfeld Macau is located at The Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau. The hotel features 271 rooms, the Mesa restaurant led by chef José Avillez, a book lounge, and a spa and wellness centre including indoor and outdoor pools.

Commissioned furnishings include sculptures by Dutch artist Marcel Wanders and French artist Jean-Michel Othoniel, as well as Terzani chandeliers.

Prior to his passing in 2019, Karl Lagerfeld worked in close partnership with SJM on the hotel design for years. 

SJM Resorts, S.A. is an owner, operator and developer of entertainment resorts in Macao. The company is a principal subsidiary of the Hong Kong-listed SJM Holdings Limited.

The Grand Lisboa Palace Resort is SJM’s flagship in Cotai. The resort offers 1,890 rooms and suites in three hotel towers: The Grand Lisboa Palace, The Karl Lagerfeld Macau, and Asia’s first Palazzo Versace Macau.

Fashion brand Karl Lagerfeld designs clothes for women, men and kids, plus bags, small leather goods, footwear, fragrances, eyewear and more. The company has more than 120 stores worldwide, with key locations in Paris, London, Munich, Dubai and Shanghai, as well as a pop-up in Milan.
