UK: The freehold of 20 Warwick Street, home to the Karma Sanctum Soho Hotel located in central London, has been sold for £22 million by real estate investment firm Aprirose to Tenigla, a real estate investment management company.
Aprirose acquired the building in 2021, the same year a £500,000 renovation was completed at the hotel.
The rock ’n’ roll themed hotel offers 30 bedrooms, a rooftop bar with a jacuzzi, a subterranean members’ bar and lounge, and the Wild Heart Bar & Shokudo Japanese restaurant.
In 2024, actor Tamer Hassan joined the family-run operating team, Mark and Sherene Fuller, to launch a members club for the creative industry. The membership offers free access to the hotel’s screening room which can be used for rehearsals and casting calls, as well as complimentary co-work space, discounts on the hotel’s room rates, food and drink, and more.
This year in May, the hotel is also set to host the British Independent Film Festival which will include director Q&As and panel talks.
Manish Gudka, CEO of Aprirose, said: “We saw the opportunity to sell Karma Sanctum at an attractive price and create liquidity for our investors. We are in the market for opportunities that are core plus across several sectors where we can implement asset management strategies to drive value.”
Aprirose was advised by Michael Elliott LLP, while Tenigla was advised by London Property Partners.
The Fullers remain operating Karma Sanctum Soho Hotel.
