UK: Manchester City Football Club has partnered with hospitality company Radisson Hotel Group for a new 401-room upper-upscale hotel, The Medlock.

The hotel is set to open in late 2026 and is part of a £300 million expansion of the Etihad Campus.

The Medlock, named after the River Medlock that runs beneath the site, will provide accommodation for visitors to the Etihad Stadium, the nearby Co-op Live arena, and the wider Manchester entertainment district.

It will feature suites, deluxe and standard rooms, as well as a luxury penthouse, and will be operated by Valor Hospitality.

The Medlock will offer a range of food and drink outlets, a stadium roof walk and museum experience, and commercial office space.

Radisson said it will also provide access to meeting and events facilities at the Etihad Stadium to meet demand from Manchester’s growing corporate and MICE market.

Elie Younes, executive vice president and global chief development officer at Radisson Hotel Group, said “Our brands are always relevant to both our owners and our guests. We are thrilled to collaborate with Manchester City Football Club and create a global flagship hotel within the world-class Etihad Campus in Manchester.

“This hotel is a fantastic addition to a growing portfolio of several stadium-based properties in the UK, like the renowned cricket ground, Edgbaston Stadium, the Allianz Stadium Twickenham, Home of England rugby, and worldwide in India and China.

“We are grateful for Manchester City’s trust in our brands, and confident that our long-standing cooperation will unlock further opportunities to all stakeholders,” he added.

Roel de Vries, chief operating officer at City Football Group, said: “Today’s announcement is an exciting moment as we reveal the name of our hotel as The Medlock and welcome globally renowned hotelier Radisson Hotel Group to the Etihad Campus.”
