Japan: Hotel The Mitsui Kyoto, located in Nakagyo Ward in Kyoto City, will open on 3 November 2020.
Hotel The Mitsui Kyoto is part of The Luxury Collection by Marriott International.
The property has been developed by an award-winning team of specialists, including André Fu for the guest rooms and lobby, Shunsaku Miyagi for landscape design, and Yohei Akao for the spa and restaurants.
It features 161 rooms including 22 suites, styled in the design of the traditional yet reimagined Japanese tearoom.
The hotel has its own natural spring water source that the spa taps in to. It includes a communal Thermal Onsen Spring, two private natural onsen spring baths, a four treatment rooms.
Two on-property dining venues comprise the signature TOKI restaurant, serving a combination of French and Japanese cuisine, and the all-day dining Italian FORNI.
In addition to the two restaurants, the hotel will also feature a garden bar and a timber-frame SHIKI-NO-MA room available for private dining and gatherings.
