Rosewood Rome set for 2023 opening

Italy: Located in the former HQ of the country’s Banca Nazionale del Lavoro, the building will be developed into the157-room Rosewood Rome.

Real estate firm Antirion SGR appointed Rosewood Hotels & Resorts to manage the new hotel. The development will be overseen by Colliers International, led by Texas-based architecture firm, Jacobs,  and Australian design firm BAR Studio. 

The design will take influence from the hotel’s location overlooking Via Veneto – a symbol of Federico Fellini’s film La Dolce Vita.

Featuring 157 rooms, including 44 suites, the finished property will comprise three dining outlets (an Italian bistro, a lobby bar and cafe, and a rooftop bar with terrace), a fitness centre, a Rosewood Spa on the rooftop with four treatment rooms, a wellness terrace and pool, three meeting spaces and a grand ballroom.

Rosewood Rome will be the brand’s fourth property in Italy, joining Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco in Tuscany and the upcoming Rosewood Porto Cervo and Rosewood Venice, set to open in 2022 and 2023, respectively.

Rosewood’s global pipeline now comprises of eleven projects in Europe including high-profile projects in the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Spain and the Netherlands.
