The Central Station officially opens

US: The Curio Collection property by Hilton in Memphis’ South Main district is now open.

Featuring up-scale amenities and immersive experiences, the eight-storey hotel comprises 123 rooms including nine suites.

Kemmons Wilson Company along with Henry Turley Company and Valor Hospitality Partners to transform the 105-year-old transportation hub.

Its interior is inspired by the city’s history as the birthplace of rock’n’roll.

“The Central Station Hotel is the only boutique hotel in Memphis that offers such a rich, regionally inspired experience for guests,” said McLean T. Wlson, principal Kemmons Wilson Company and owner. “The property retains the original architecture of South Main’s transportation hub while infusing contemporary design that will delight guests and immerse them in the musical culture and heritage of Memphis. We are proud to open our doors and provide guests with a unique experience they will remember”.

The hotel’s onsite restaurant, Bishop, is slated to open in November 2019. Led by award-winning chefs Michael Hudman and Andy Ticer, Bishop will serve a southern twist on French brasserie cuisine.
