US: Privately owned boutique hotel The Genevieve has opened in Santa Ynez, California, after it was repositioned from the Santa Ynez Inn.
The Genevieve is owned by the same team behind The Landsby, a 51-room boutique hotel in Solvang, California.
Following a refresh and repositioning from the Santa Ynez Inn, The Genevieve offers 20 guest rooms, a restaurant, whiskey library, spa, and 7,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space.
Led by executive chef Beto Huizar, The Victor is open for dinner with brunch service launching next month. Dishes are prepared in a Josper charcoal oven or Santa Maria grill.
At the hotel’s Splendour Spa, treatments range from deep tissue to couple massages, as well as pre and postnatal massages.
Events such as weddings are also catered for by a full-service team. Four venues include the Coach House with a bar and dining room, the Soleil Lawn & Garden with fire pits and a fountain, the Brique Terrace with an open air Santa Maria grill, and The Parlour with capacity for up to 60 guests.
Janice Leslin, co-owner of The Genevieve, said: “The Genevieve is the perfect setting for rediscovering romance, escaping the mundane, and fully embracing the serenity of the Santa Ynez Valley. The Genevieve and The Victor are a true escape and the perfect pair – a combination of intimate, detail-oriented hospitality and some of the best food and cocktails in Santa Ynez.”
