UK: Holm House hotel in Penarth, Wales, has closed it doors and shut down its website.
The boutique hotel, which occupies a 1920s house on Penarth’s Marine Parade, closed its doors on May 28, according to local media reports.
A recorded message on the hotel’s anwering machine said: “I am sorry to have to inform you that due to adverse trading conditions, and on the advice of our professional advisors, HH Hotels Management Limited – trading as Holm House – has taken the decision to cease trading forthwith. We are obviously very sorry for any inconvenience caused.”
Holm House was previously voted as one of the Top 50 British Hotels by the Independent on Sunday and also featured in the National Geographic’s Stay List 2010.
