The Westin Tempe

US: The opening of The Westin Tempe marks the largest new hotel to debut in the area in nearly four decades, featuring 290 rooms and 21,000 square feet of event space.

Owned and developed by CAI Investments and managed by Crescent Hotels & Resorts, the design has been led by RSP Architects.

In the lobby, angular walls are inspired by Arizona’s slot canyons; sculptured concrete slabs by local artisan SlabHaus double up as additional seating; and a cloud-like installation is suspended above.

The Terra Tempe Kitchen & Spirits restaurant, helmed by chef Alexander Robinson, serves healthy cuisine and nature-infused cocktails. It’s open for lunch and dinner.

Up on the roof, the Skysill Rooftop Lounge is located on the eighteenth floor. It features a pool, jacuzzi, daybeds and cabanas, along with a large video screen.

The hotel is also home to Cup of Joe Market Cafe, a quick-service bistro next to the lobby offering grab-and-go options and retail merchandise.

“It has been nothing short of incredible to see our vision come to life through the collaborative effort between our team of longtime hospitality professionals and our ingenious local design firm,” said Patti Hunt, general manager of The Westin Tempe. “Together, we’ve created an optimal retreat that truly serves those who are craving a premium hotel experience that empowers them to enhance their well-being while traveling, while still capturing the spirited essence of Tempe. We look forward to becoming a welcoming gathering place for visitors and locals alike.”
