UK: Auction4Ukraine, which closes 14 April 2022, includes over 50 prizes donated by hotels to raise funds for the DEC Ukraine Appeal.
At the time of writing, almost £32,000 has been raised. Items up for auction include a suite and cocktails at The Savoy, Wembley VIP tickets with executive room at JW Marriott Grosvenor House, a three night stay at The Cottage in the Wood Malvern, and many more.
Proceeds will be donated to the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC), which is operating in Ukraine and neighbouring countries. Four million people are expected to be displaced by the war in Ukraine, and funds raised will go towards supporting those in need.
The auction is open to all and bids can be placed online here. It is scheduled to close at 9pm on 14 April 2022.
Stuart Bowery, multi-property general manager, JW Marriott Grosvenor House London, said: “The launch of Hospitality Auction4Ukraine is a vital step in the hospitality industry’s collective fundraising goal to support the Ukrainian people in their time of need. We are extremely grateful to the businesses that have donated prizes to help us reach this goal.”
Auction4Ukraine has been launched in conjunction with Lunch4Ukraine, a fundraising event which takes place at JW Marriott Grosvenor House on 5 April.
Hospitality organisations supporting the lunch include UKHospitality, The Master Innholders, Gold Key Media, Custard Communications, the Institute of Hospitality, among others. The goal is to raise £100,000 for the DEC Ukraine Appeal.
