UK: Axel Krueger has been named general manager of the art’otel London Hoxton ahead of the hotel’s opening in 2024.

Krueger joins art’otel from Park Plaza Riverbank where he has held the position of general manager since 2021.

He brings 17 years of experience to the role having joined PPHE Hotel Group – the developers of the art’otel Hoxton – in 2010. During his time with PPHE, Krueger held various roles including food and beverage director, operations hotel manager and opening general manager.

Prior to this, Krueger worked at St Moritz’s Suvretta House and Kempinski Grand Hotel de Bains, as well as opening three Starwood hotels across Europe.

“art’otel has been the hotel on everyone’s lips since art’otel London Battersea Power Station exploded onto the scene earlier this year, so I can’t wait to bring its creative spirit to one of London’s most thriving artistic neighbourhoods,” said Krueger. “art’otel London Hoxton will be a true hub for inspiration and we can’t wait for our guests to experience this one of a kind destination.”

Set to open in 2024, art’otel London Hoxton occupies a 26-floor, newly-constructed building. It will offer 357 guest rooms including 48 suites, a restaurant and bar, art gallery, events space, auditorium, and an indoor swimming pool and spa.
