UK: The Eden Hotel Collection has appointed three general managers across its portfolio, including Bovey Castle, The Greenway Hotel and Brockencote Hall.
Dean Gunston has been promoted from senior general manager of The Greenway Hotel and Spa and Brockencote Hall Hotel to a new position at Bovey Castle in Dartmoor National Park.
Gunston has worked with Eden for more than 13 years and began his career at The Kings Hotel in 2009 as general manager.
Craig Routledge will succeed Gunston as general manager of The Greenway Hotel and Spa in Cheltenham. This marks the third hotel that Routledge will oversee, having recently served as general manager at The Kings Hotel.
Once part of the Eden Hotel Collection, The Kings Hotel was sold in October 2020.
Jack Hartshorne has also been promoted from his role as deputy general manager at The Arden Hotel to lead Brockencote Hall Hotel in Worcestershire. He began his career at Brockencote in 2012, and gained experience working as house manager at The Kings Hotel too.
Mark Chambers, group managing director of The Eden Collection, said: “Between the three of them, Dean, Craig and Jack have worked at no less than 10 hotels within Eden over more than 30 years, bringing with them a tremendous amount of experience and enthusiasm to their new roles.
“We know we have some exceptional talent within our ranks and as a company we truly believe in giving people pathways for career development, so I am delighted to see all three step up to their new positions.”
In addition to the hotels mentioned above, Eden’s hotel portfolio also includes Mallory Court Hotel and Spa in Leamington.
