Firmdale appoints London director of operations

UK: Laura Sharpe has been promoted from her former position as general manager of Ham Yard Hotel in London to director of operations at Firmdale.

Sharpe will oversee the group’s eight London properties, including Ham Yard Hotel, Haymarket Hotel, The Soho Hotel, Charlotte Street Hotel, Covent Garden Hotel, and other townhouse properties.

She first joined the company in 2007 as duty manager at The Soho Hotel and has held several leadership roles across the London portfolio.

Speaking about her appointment, Sharpe said: “I am delighted to continue my career after eight brilliant years as general manager of Ham Yard Hotel and proud to continue to work with such a wonderful team but now across all eight hotels in London and the fabulous teams who support our hotels.” 

Julie LeSauvage-Barry has taken on the role of general manager at Ham Yard Hotel.

Firmdale Hotels is a collection of 10 hotels and two private residences across London and New York, founded by husband and wife Tim and Kit Kemp. The first property, Dorset Square Hotel, opened in Marylebone in 1985.
