US: The Quin, a Manhattan boutique hotel set to open in the winter has hired two key members of staff.
Holly Waterbor-Breuche has been named general manager of the Quin, a joint venture between Three Wall Capital and Caro Enterprises.
Waterbor-Breuche has 25 years of experience as a general manager and director of marketing for several New York Hotels, including the Plaza Hotel, The Waldorf-Astoria, The Omni Berkshire Place, The New York Palace, The Chelsea Hotel, Royalton Hotel, an The Setai Fifth Avenue.
Alan Kanders, principal of Three Wall Capital, said: “Holly is a veteran of the New York metropolitan market. She has served in executive-level positions within the New York City and surrounding area markets for the past 25 years, including two previous general manager appointments and is a perfect fit to lead the management team at New York’s newest boutique hotel, the Quin.”
Meanwhile Hercy Hernandez has been appointed director of sales and marketing for the Quin and will report to Waterbor-Breuche.
Hernandez has more than 13 years of experience in the hospitality industry and earned a degree in hospitality and tourism from Virginia Tech University. She worked as the pre-opening sales director for The Setai Fifth Avenue, and has also worked for Loews Hotels and Kimpton Hotels.
“Hercy Hernandez is a dynamic, results-oriented leader, whose experience, creativity and client-centric approach will help drive the Quin’s successful launch in New York City,” said Kanders.
