UK: Su Doggett and Carl Simmonds have joined the London studio of global architectural practice HKS as principal and director of hospitality interiors respectively.
Over the last 25 years, Doggett and Simmonds have delivered luxury projects including new build and refurbishment schemes in city centre locations and deluxe resorts.
Doggett has worked throughout Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Indonesia as principle in charge of key projects such as the Four Seasons Bodrum, the Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam, the Langham Sydney and the St Regis Osaka.
Simmonds has over 20 years of experience and specialises in luxury hospitality design. He has worked on new build hotel developments and listed renovations, most recently as lead designer on The Mandarin Oriental Dubai, The Langham Hong Kong, and the St Regis Langkawi.
“The combined expertise of HKS’s existing hospitality interiors group in the United States, headed by Mary Alice Palmer, principle and director of global hospitality interiors, along with the London team that Su and Carl are here to establish will, I believe, form a world-leading capability in this field,” said Kevin Underwood, head of hospitality at HKS.
In London, HKS is currently working on several schemes including AMAALA – the development of three resorts on the Red Sea in Saudi Arabia, as well as hotels and resorts in Malta and Morocco.
