UK: Preferred Hotels & Resorts has named Rachel Louis as the group’s regional director of UK and Ireland.
Louis will oversee a portfolio of 31 member hotels, resorts and residences. Prior to joining Preferred, she founded and operated a commercial hotel consultancy for independent, family-owned hotels, and has led the company for the past nine years.
In addition, Louis has also previously worked with The Dorchester, InterContinental London Park Lane, and Maybourne Hotel Group, and has served in consulting roles at Bulgari Hotel London and The Zetter Group.
Brenda Collin, executive VP of Europe for Preferred Hotels & Resorts, said: ““We are thrilled to welcome Rachel as the newest member of our team in the UK and Ireland. Her expertise in the independent hotel space is long-established and will help us to develop our regional presence while strengthening and expanding partnerships with existing member hotels.”
Louis will report directly to Collin in her new role.
Preferred Hotels & Resorts currently represents more than 650 hotels, resorts, residences and hotel groups across 80 countries.
