San Diego’s Carté Hotel expands its sales team

US: The Curio Collection by Hilton property has appointed Michelle Lhota as catering sales manager and David Presslauer as group sales manager.

Lhota and Presslaur will head the sales and marketing strategy of the new luxury hotel in Little Italy, which opened its doors on September 10 2019 and features 246 rooms.

As catering sales manager, Lhota will oversee and manage all custom catering for Carté Hotel’s clitent’s special events and groups.

She previously served as the executive meeting manager at The Gwen in Chicago, where Lhota helped elevate the property’s events programming. The hotel went on to be named the Marriott Hotel of the Year for All Americas.

As group sales manager, Presslauer will oversee group reservations, including business meetings and social gatherings.

Prior to this role, Presslauer held sales positions at Wrike and SurveyMonkey, where he helped lead B2B sales strategy for the SaaS (software as a service) platforms.

“Our group business and catering initiatives are focused on elevating the guest experience through creative customer acquisition strategies, as well as unique offerings like a fresh seafood catering program and high-tech meeting spaces,” said MarQuies Willis, director of sales and marketing at Carté Hotel.

“Michelle and David are dedicated to executing on our guest-centric approach and showcasing the hotel’s distinctive features. Their passion for the property, combined with strong leadership and sales acumen, will make them essential assets as we deliver exceptional experience to guests at Carté,” Willis added.

Operated by Interstate Hotels & Resorts, Carté Hotel is located at 401 West Ash Street in San Diego.
