UK: Operator and developer Splendid Hospitality Group has promoted Andrew Kendrick to managing director, effective immediately.
Kendrick first joined Splendid in 2016 as regional operations manager. In 2019 he progressed to a divisional managerial role before being appointed group operations director in 2020.
His promotion comes as part of an internal restructure of the senior management team at Splendid. Kendrick’s role will bring the group’s portfolio of branded and independent hotels throughout the UK under one umbrella.
Kendrick will also be responsible for the group’s development pipeline, including refurbishments.
He said: Splendid has always been an entrepreneurial business with incredible agility, and it is a real honour to build on my seven years with the family by taking over the leadership of the entire hotel portfolio. I think it is vitally important to maintain what has made us great over the years, and work as a united team to ensure all our hotels work together to deliver extraordinary experiences to our guests with the Splendid values at the heart of everything we do.
