US: Hotel booking app HotelTonight announces further European expansion and reaches four million download milestone.
The San Francisco based company, which also has a European HQ in London, has announced the addition of hotels in Berlin, Munich, Zurich and Geneva to its portfolio. Hamburg will be added to the app in early February.
New hotel partners include Hotel Adlon Kempinski, Ellington Hotel and H’Otello K’80 in Berlin; Hotel Les Armures, La Cour des Augustins, Eden Hotel and Hotel Mon Repos in Geneva; Side Hotel in Hamburg; Hotel München Palace, Cortiina Hotel and Louis Hotel in Munich; and Plattenhof Hotel, Swissotel Zurich and Hotel Sternen Oerlikon in Zurich.
HotelTonight now offers rooms in 10 countries and over 80 destinations. It has reached the four million download milestone in just over two years from its January 2011 launch.
Sam Shank, co-founder and CEO of HotelTonight said: “Mobile technology has revolutionised the way we plan our lives, totally shifting our mindset and approach to travel. We are no longer tied to pre-planned itineraries, but empowered to make spontaneous decisions about where to go and for how long. HotelTonight was the first to respond to this rapidly growing market, shaping last-minute travel initially in North America and now globally. We couldn’t be more excited about the quality of our European hotel partners and the value that they’ll provide at the last minute.”
HotelTonight Europe’s managing director Heather Leisman will be speaking about disruptive technology at Boutique Hotel Summit 2013. Click here for more information.
