Europe/Africa: Independent hotel collection Preferred Hotels & Resorts has revealed seven openings between May and September throughout Europe and Africa.
Several of the properties are located across Spain with additional hotels in Iceland, Malta, South Africa, and Tanzania.
Upcoming openings include:
- Gran Hotel Claridge Granada (Granada, Spain) – launched May 2026 (L.V.X. Collection): A 70-room luxury boutique hotel housed in the historic Plaza de Villamena. Amenities include an Andalusian restaurant, a second rooftop restaurant and lounge, and a wellness space offering spa treatments and tailored fitness programmes.
- ENVI Paje (Zanzibar, Tanzania) – launching June 2026 (Lifestyle Collection): A wellness lodge located on Paje Beach. It features 22 villas with experiential programming such as meditation, craft and cookery classes, water sports, and more. A range of treatments at The Sanctuary spa are guided by ENVI’s Signature African Wellbeing Philosophy, which pairs traditional practices with modern science.
- Romègas Hotel (Valletta, Malta) – launching June 2026 (L.V.X. Collection): A boutique hotel housed in a 500-year-old palazzo originally built for Knight of Malta, Mathurin Romègas. Now restored, the hotel will feature 23 individually designed rooms and suites, a rooftop pool, a restaurant led by chef Marvin Gauci, and a bar.
- Bless Ibiza The Site (Ibiza, Spain) – launching June 2026 (Legend Collection): Located along the beachfront, the hotel offers 461 rooms and forms part of The Site Ibiza – a lifestyle destination featuring over 12 restaurants and luxury retail. Amenities include multiple pools, rooftop venues, a spa, and direct access to the beach.
- Last Word Makanyane (Madikwe Game Reserve, Johannesburg, South Africa) – launching July 2026 (Lifestyle Collection): Set within the exclusive Madikwe Game Reserve, the safari resort offers eight river-facing suites set on family-owned land. Experiences include twice-daily game drives, guided bush walks, and birdwatching. Amenities include a pool and prepared meals.
- 360 Hotel Boutique and SPA (Selfoss, Iceland) – launching July 2026 (L.V.X. Collection): A31-room luxury boutique hotel located in Iceland’s Golden Circle. Amenities include geothermal pools, a spa with a cold pool and sauna, a private cinema, and the Hnaus Restaurant.
- Serras Sevilla (Seville, Spain) – launching September 2026 (Legend Collection): Located closed to Seville Cathedral, the 43-room boutique hotel was designed by Aníbal González between 1915 and 1917. It offers three dining venues including a rooftop terrace and swimming pool.
