UK: Harbour Hotels has purchased Richmond Gate hotel
Harbour Hotels has purchased Richmond Gate hotel, its first property in the capital.
The 68-key property, situated at the top of Richmond Hill, opposite Richmond Park, is the eleventh hotel to join the Harbour Hotels portfolio. Richmond Gate was purchased from Suite Hospitality on a 999-year-long lease.
The property will operate as the Richmond Gate hotel until winter 2018, when it will be rebranded as a Harbour hotel following an extensive renovation programme which will see the addition of a Jetty restaurant and spa.
Mike Warren, managing director of Harbour Hotels, said: “We are very excited to be taking the Harbour Hotels brand to London; it’s an exciting location and a key strategic position from our perspective. The Richmond Gate hotel is a landmark property, with an outstanding setting.”
Harbour Hotels launched its flagship hotel, a newly-bulit hotel shaped like a super-yacht, in October.
