Inn Collection Group acquires Welsh site

Swallow Falls Hotel

Wales: The Swallow Falls Hotel in Snowdonia National Park has been bought by The Inn Collection Group for an undisclosed sum.

Swallow Falls is a 19-bedroom hotel with adjoining hostel and campsite. The acquisition of both hotel and hostel marks the first in Wales for the group. The site will close as an immediate restoration of the building begins.

Sean Donkin, managing director of The Inn Collection Group said: “We are absolutely delighted to be bringing The Swallow Falls hotel into our pubs with rooms family and to have completed on our first Welsh purchase.

“We are passionate about investing in unique sites like Swallow Falls and to unlocking their potential through sympathetic restorations while preserving the character and charm that makes them such special places to eat, drink, sleep and explore from. We look forward to investing in a significant but careful refurbishment of this property and beginning a new chapter for us as part of the community fabric here in North Wales.”

Neil Thomson, associate director with Colliers who handled the sale on behalf of the former owner Peter Jones said: “Swallow Falls Hotel will prove an excellent addition to the Inn Collection Group, being situated in one of the busiest locations within Snowdonia National Park. It’s an extremely positive sign to see the level of investment promised by The Inn Collection into such an iconic hotel.”

The Swallow Falls Hotel is the seventh acquisition from Inn Collection Group in 2021. Earlier this month, the 38-bedroom Dower House Hotel in Knaresborough was added to the portfolio.
