US: Mondrian Doha is the flag’s first property in the Middle East
Leading global lifestyle hospitality company, sbe, has announced the opening of Mondrian Doha.
The Mondrian Doha will be the luxury brand’s first hotel in the Middle East. The property houses 270 rooms designed by Dutch designer Marcel Wanders in collaboration with South West Architecture. Wanders’ design plays on fantasy and illusion: it includes his signature floating staircase and a range of his One-Minute Delf blue vases.
Adnan Azrak, Chief Developer of Mondrian Doha, on behalf of South West Architecture, said: “We are delighted to have successfully morphed Marcel Wanders’ vision into the architecture and design of the Mondrian building. This incredible work of art has finally come to light and is now available for everyone to enjoy.”
The property also contains the largest ESPA Spa in the world, treatment rooms and Hammam areas. The property will contain seven restaurants and bars. The hotel will offer a range of venues for event planners and delegates in Doha.
Jorge Giannattasio, Chief Operating Officer at sbe said: “We are thrilled to open our first hotel in the Middle East in Doha, Qatar. After so much time and investment has been put into this hotel – it is fantastic to be able to see it all finally come to life and we’re looking forward to expanding the sbe brand further into the region next year.”
